John M. Jacobs, MD
Radiology
Dr. Jacobs is a Board-certified Radiologist with fellowship
training in Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroangiography,
with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology from the
American Board of Radiology.
His training includes a fellowship in Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroangiography
from the New York University Medical Center, Diagnostic
Radiology and Nuclear Medicine residencies from the University of Utah
Medical Center, and an internship at Emory University Grandy Memorial
Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. He matriculated with a degree in medicine from
the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Jacobs was an Associate Professor of Radiology and of Neuroradiology at
the University of Utah Medical Center, and was on the Residency Selection
Committee for the Department of Radiology at the U of U Health Sciences
Center from 1988 to 1998. He has been a member of Mountain Medical
Physician Services (MMPS) in Salt Lake City from 1998 to the present. He
served as Chairman of the Department of Radiology at LDS Hospital 2006-
2008 and has been the Chief of Interventional Radiology since 1994.
Dr. Jacobs is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology
(ASNR) and a Scientific Reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology
Other professional affiliations include the American College
of Radiology (ACR), American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic
Neuroradiology (ASTNR), Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR),
American Medical Association (AMA), and local radiology organizations along
the Wasatch Front.
He is recognized nationally for his expertise in Neuroradiology and has been a
guest lecturer at numrous Society conferences.
